Located in The Woodlands, private lessons are offered in Tony's home studio. He also continues to teach students from Oregon online. When a move to The Woodlands became a reality, families that had studied with Tony for several years were offered the opportunity to continue online. Group class practices are also available at a local community center and are contingent upon enrollment numbers.
Small scale guitars are available for rent or may be purchased. Tony can assist with guidance on those ready to purchase their own instrument to ensure it's size and style are appropriate for learning.
Children learn music in a natural and direct way, very similar to the way they learn to speak. The curriculum and activities are designed to be fun and engaging. Instrumental technique, sight-reading and music theory become a natural next step once a student is ready.
Regular practice outside of lesson time is essential for improvement and skill development. Confidence is built when a child discovers the pleasure of playing a piece well.
